Arriving by air

The international airports of Frankfurt and Köln-Bonn (Cologne-Bonn) are each about one hour's drive from Bad Ems.

We offer a travel service from and to the airports: Frankfurt/Main, Köln-Bonn and also Frankfurt-Hahn, at price at 110,-- € each way.

Another smaller airport close by is Frankfurt-Hahn. This airport has airlines offering low cost fares to several European cities like Milano / Bergamo, London, Glasgow, Bournemouth, Perpignan and Oslo (see www.ryanair.com and http: http://www.hahn-airport.de.

Check the booking conditions and travel periods for these flights. From Frankfurt-Hahn there is a bus shuttle connection to Koblenz (main railway station).

Arriving by train

Koblenz is the nearest major town to Bad Ems. From the main Koblenz railway station take a local train to Bad Ems Hauptbahnhof (not Bad Ems West). This journey takes about 25 minutes, the regional train from Limburg to Bad Ems Hauptbahnhof takes the same time. The Bad Ems train station is about 350 metres from the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Centre. Please call us in advance if you wish to be picked up at the station by taxi.

Arriving by car

From the motorway A3 Cologne (Köln) – Frankfurt.

Travelling from Frankfurt travel in the direction of Wiesbaden/Köln. From Köln-Bonn take the direction Frankfurt.

Leave at the exit for Montabaur and follow the signs for Bad Ems.  

From the motorway A61 Cologne (Köln) – Ludwigshafen.

If travelling from the north (Mönchengladbach, Cologne, etc.), then take the exit for Koblenz – Mitte. If travelling from the south (Karlsruhe, Ludwigshafen, etc.) take the exit for Waldesch. Drive in the direction of Koblenz and follow the signs for the B49 in the direction of Lahnstein/Nassau. On the B49 the turning for Bad Ems / Lahnstein is signposted. 

From the B260, Bäderstrasse from Wiesbaden to Lahnstein.

Follow the Bäderstrasse through Nassau and continue to Bad Ems. About 1.5kms after the town sign for Bad Ems you will see the Häckers Hotel situated on the right hand side. You may unload your luggage at the Hotel entrance. The hotel garage is about 100 meters away.

Arriving from the Koblenzer Strasse.

Drive through Bad Ems in the direction of Nassau. The road crosses the River Lahn and then continues alongside the river on the Wilhelmsallee.

On the opposite side you will see the Kurhotel Bad Ems. Cross the river at the next opportunity, which is the Bahnhofsbrücke. Turn left in the direction of the town centre. After about 500 meters you will arrive at the Häcker's Kurhotel. You may park in front of the hotel on Römerstrasse for a short time to unload your luggage. Ask at the reception for directions to the Hotel garage, which is 100 meters away.

Ask the way to the Häckers Kurhotel. There is a short-term parking area just in front of the main entrance of the hotel for unloading your luggage. For long-term parking: please enquire at the hotel reception for our garage which is about 100 metres away.
