Your interest in Maharishi Ayurveda

Esteemed Vaidyas,

Thank you very much for your interest to work with us. We very much appreciate your expertise in the health care system of Ayurveda, and we honour you as the representative of the age-old family traditions of India--the land of the Veda--that have maintained the Vedic knowledge for the benefit of the whole mankind.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer you a job at this time for the following reason: One of the legal prerequisites for Indian doctors and Vaidyas to obtain a work permit in Germany is the completion of the study of modern medicine that is recognized by the German government. We are trying to secure an exemption from this approval policy from the authorities but this takes time and the prospects are currently not very promising. Moreover, it is very difficult to obtain a work permission in Germany for people from outside of the European Union, e.g. India, in the area of Ayurveda. We will keep your e-mail application on file and when the legal situation changes we will get back to you automatically.

However, we have been informed in advance that one important prerequisite for receiving a work permit is that the applicant must speak German language. Please let us know whether you speak German already or you plan to learn it. Before any official approval, you would have to pass a test of proficiency in German language at a Goethe Institute in your country.

Some month ago we have employed already a Vaidya from Kerala who satisfies all prerequisites listed above.

Please be aware that this is in no way a confirmation of a possible employment in our Health Centre. This is just a preliminary inquiry into how far one of the acceptance criteria is already fulfilled.
